Privacy at FORM: private by default, never sold

FORM (“FORM”, “we”, “us”) is a nutrition and training app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. In short: your data is private by default, we never sell it, we don't run ads or third-party trackers, and you can delete everything at any time from inside the app. If anything here is unclear, email hello@livingform.app.

Who we are

FORM is operated by Random Shenans. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@livingform.app. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

We only collect what the app needs to work for you:

• Account: your email address and a securely hashed password, if you create an account to sync across devices. You can use much of the app without an account.
• Profile & goals: the details you enter - name, sex, age, height, weight, goals, training experience and any injuries or limitations - so targets and sessions fit you.
• Logs: the food, meals, workouts, measurements and notes you record.
• Progress photos: optional photos you take. These are stored on your device and, if you are signed in, in your private synced account. They are never used for anything but showing you your own progress.
• Activity & health: with your permission, your daily step count and workouts from Apple Health / your device's motion sensor. Steps are informational and are never added to advertising or shared.
• Purchases: subscription status, handled through the App Store and our payments processor (RevenueCat). We never see or store your card details.

How AI features work

When you use an AI feature - photographing a plate or menu, scanning a barcode, describing a food, or importing a recipe - the relevant image or text is sent to our backend and to a third-party AI model provider purely to estimate the nutrition and return it to you. This content is processed to generate your result and is not used to train third-party models or for advertising. If you don't use these features, none of this data leaves your device beyond your own cloud sync.

Where your data lives

Data is stored on your device. If you create an account, it also syncs to our cloud database so your plan follows you to other devices. Our servers and database are hosted with reputable infrastructure providers (currently Railway). Data may be processed in regions outside your own; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.

Who we share with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers strictly to run the app:

• Cloud hosting and database (to store your synced account).
• An AI model provider (to power the optional photo/text nutrition features).
• RevenueCat and Apple (to process subscriptions).

Each processes data only on our instructions to deliver the service.

Your rights & choices

• Delete everything: Settings → Delete my account removes your account and synced data from our servers, and clears the app on your device. This is permanent.
• Access & correction: your data is visible and editable inside the app. For a copy or any other request, email hello@livingform.app.
• Permissions: camera, photos, motion and notifications are all opt-in and can be turned off in iOS Settings at any time.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove it from our live systems; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup cycle.

Children

FORM is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Not medical advice

FORM provides general nutrition and fitness guidance for healthy adults. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. Talk to a professional before making significant changes, especially if you have a health condition.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
